Architecturally Simple but Effective
El Cometa isn’t going to win any international awards for ground-breaking architectural design, but it’s no kick in the short for looks either. That said, you won’t notice what matters most about the architecture of this austere building.
Despite being nearly in the center of town, El Cometa barely whispers a peep of the party happening outside. This is exactly what you want, proximity without sound-tax.
Close to Town. Really Close.
Did we say “center of town?” Well, that’s debatable, but you are off the main roads by about a block in either direction, so no matter which way you exit, there’s something to eat or do one block away. The main road into town, a right out of the main gate, takes you directly to the beach.
The left from the main gate takes you straight into Tamarindo’s food court, Sharky’s, Long Board’s and all the great pubs. When you’ve had enough, you can squirrel away in your little Tamarindo home to sleep or do whatever.
Room With a View
To be fair, the view out of your window is best if you look down. The pool is front and center in El Cometa’s sanctuary off the street.
If you really want the best views, head up to the finished roof, where you can see the beach and mountains in one camera sweep. You’ll want to end every day on this little vista. It’s so good you might skip the beachside sunsets most visitors enjoy.
